Install Zotero in Ubuntu using Snap package management system

The Ubuntu operating system is popular and easy for beginners. Snap is a package management system by Ubuntu. The Ubuntu operating system, along with its various flavours such as Kubuntu and Xubuntu, supports Snap packages. Zotero is easy to install from the Snap package repository. 

Installation is easy; open the Software Centre, search for, and find "Zotero". Install Zotero by clicking on the Install button. The Zotero app icon becomes available in the Application launcher, inside the Office category, after installation.

Zotero find word processors available in the operating system during installation. It installs the LibreOffice plugin in the system. Open LibreOffice and make sure that the Zotero toolbar is visible.


The Zotero tool is not available; we need to manually install the integration file. Enter the following location through the file manager, 

/snap/zotero-snap/current/integration/libreoffice
Find the Zotero_Libreoffice_Integration.oxt file. Double-click the file and install it. The Zotero toolbar will be visible in LibreOffice Writer after the plugin is installed.
